Our FCCLA and Family and Consumer Science students continue to do great things for their community!
Working with Family and Consumer Science Teachers Ms. Amy Kruse and Ms. Emily Blades, the students have made fleece blankets for foster children the past few years as a community service project. The goal of the project is to provide foster children with something that belongs to them and can travel with them as needed.
Last week, 17 blankets were donated to A New Leaf, Inc., a foster service agency in Circleville.
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national student organization for students in Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education in public and private school through grade 12. Since 1945, FCCLA members have been making a difference in their families, careers, and communities by addressing important personal, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education. At Canal Winchester, Ms. Kruse and Ms. Blades are the FCCLA Advisors.
