Superintendent Kiya Hunt recognized the April 'Knocked Our Socks Off!' Award Recipients at the monthly board meeting.
This month's recipients are Mr. Kevin McCarty and Ms. Alyssa Locker.
Ms. Locker is the elementary instructional coach and was nominated by her colleague, Ms. Michelle Goode, for her dedication to developing expertise in spelling, decoding, phonemic awareness, and reading comprehension and her leadership in the Science of Reading.
Mr. Kevin McCarty is a Paraprofessional who supports students in the Credit Recovery program. His colleague, Ms. Leigh Siedlak, nominated him for his dedication to his students in the program. Mr. McCarty has helped CWHS students complete over 300 semester credit recovery courses and communicates well with counselors, teachers, students, and families.
