Staff Spotlight: Ms. Jessica Oakley

Meet Ms. Jessica Oakley, a Paraprofessional at Canal Winchester High School and Canal Winchester Middle School Cheer Coach.

Meet Ms. Jessica Oakley, a Paraprofessional at Canal Winchester High School and Canal Winchester Middle School Cheer Coach.
A 2012 CWHS graduate, Ms. Oakley has worked at CW Schools for five years, first as a bus aide, and then as a paraprofessional in the Social Studies Department at CWHS for the last four years.
"I enjoy the people I work with," she says. "There is not a more caring group of people who want our kids to be successful in the classroom and in life. I also love working with high school students because you really watch them grow up in a four short years. You watch them grow into young adults who WILL change this world one day."
A former Canal Winchester cheerleader from 8th-12th grade, Jessica started coaching cheer in 2014. She is a 2013 US Trails Champion and 2013 World's Silver Medalist in cheerleading. She has three children: Daniel, 6, who just finished kindergarten and loves sports and video games; Rosemary, 2, who is following in mom's footsteps as a Mommy and Me Gymnastics enthusiast; and Joseph, 6-months-old, who loves eating and hanging out with his siblings.
"My favorite thing about working at Canal Winchester Schools is that no matter what a student's plan for after graduation may be, we support them and help them," Ms. Oakley says. "College is not the only option after high school. There are so many great opportunities for our children now and I support everything we do to make it happen for them."
Thank you to Ms. Oakley for everything she does for our students and our schools!
