Winchester Trail Unveils New Storywalk Book

Honeybee by Candace Fleming and Eric Rohmann is the new Storywalk book at Winchester Trail Elementary!

The weather is warming up, the flowers are blooming, the bees are buzzing… and a new StoryWalk is ready for readers at Winchester Trail!
Students are able to visit the StoryWalk - installed last summer by the WTES Library Learning Commons and BSA Troop 103 - with their class and walk along the tree line on the back of the school property, reading the book and completing activities as they go. Our new book for this month is Honeybee by Candace Fleming and Eric Rohmann. Kids of all ages are invited to read the story and learn more about how amazing and necessary honeybees are to our environment and agriculture.
Looking ahead, School Librarian Cassie Dickison will maintain and update our StoryWalk throughout the summer months, so families and community members are welcome to visit the StoryWalk during times when school is not in session. The first page of the book begins behind the swings on the WTES playground, and the trail then moves along to the right. Our book for June will be Trombone Shorty by Troy Andrews and Brian Collier. During July, the featured book will be Greta and the Giants by Zoe Tucker and Zoe Persico. Stop by this summer to enjoy a great story and a lovely stroll!
