CW Families, The Canal Winchester School District is committed to the safety and health of our students and staff. We want to inform you that the district is moving to a fully remote learning format beginning Wednesday December 9th, due to the number of staff required to quarantine and the lack of substitutes to fill teaching and busing positions. Again this is not due to positive COVID cases but the quarantining requirements involved in contact tracing from positive cases. The remote learning will continue through Dec 22nd, the beginning of winter break. We will send out updated information as it becomes available. This change to remote learning impacts ALL students, including KG, self-contained special education and preschool classrooms. Students will not come to school from Dec 9th - Jan 3rd. Will students come back to the building after winter break? At this time further discussion will occur at the Board of Education Meeting on Mon Dec 21st. • CWOLA Online students will continue the same learning format. • School-based students who have been hybrid will move to remote 5 days a week. Please look at the building specific information below for your student. Questions? Contact your students’ teacher or building.
