Welcome to the Technology Department of Canal Winchester Schools, where we are dedicated to empowering every student with the tools to navigate today's digital world. We're proud of our one-to-one technology program, a cornerstone of our commitment to innovative education, which provides every student with a personal device to enhance their learning experience. Our mission extends beyond simply supplying the necessary hardware; we work diligently to integrate technology seamlessly into our classrooms, enriching teaching and learning, and fostering a vibrant and engaging educational environment for our students. Our team is here to support all technology needs throughout the district, ensuring our students, teachers, and staff are equipped to thrive in a technologically advanced society.
Chromebook Program
Our school is a one-to-one district, which means every student, from kindergarten through 12th grade, has access to Chromebooks to help with learning at school and at home.
There are no costs for our one-to-one program, but you do have the choice to pay a protection fee, which could be helpful if anything happens to your Chromebook. Be sure to read the Chromebook Agreement form (you can find this in the back-to-school forms on PowerSchool) for all the details about how to use your Chromebook, what rules to follow, and information about that optional protection fee.
Remember, each day you should bring your Chromebook to school fully charged, ready to learn. If your Chromebook isn't feeling well, don't worry. Take it to your school's 'Chrome Depot', where it can get checked out and fixed if needed. Happy learning!
