Dear Canal Winchester Schools Community,

I hope this message finds you enjoying the last days of summer, and eagerly looking forward to a new and exciting school year. As your Superintendent, I am delighted to greet you all once again as we prepare for a year full of learning, growth, and discovery.

Our theme for this academic year is "Be Somebody's Hero". This theme is not only a call for kindness and bravery but a reminder that each of us has the power to make a positive impact in someone's life. And this year, we want to focus on fostering this spirit of heroism in all our students and staff.

This brings me to something incredibly exciting – our new strategic plan, the Canal Winchester Promise. This is not just a fancy document with a list of objectives. It's our commitment - a promise - to our students, staff, families, and community. It's about pledging to focus all our efforts on making Canal Winchester Schools a place where each child grows, learns, and succeeds.

The CW Promise is like a roadmap for our school year. It has clear signposts that guide us towards our goals. We will work on creating engaging and dynamic learning environments, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity, and ensuring our students are prepared for whatever their futures hold.

I encourage everyone to become a part of the Canal Winchester Promise. Let's help each other, let's support each other, and let's be somebody's hero, every day. Let's promise to give our best, learn as much as we can, and make this school year a heroic one!

Later this fall, look for our second annual Your Schools, Your Voice Community Survey. Your voice matters and we want you to use this opportunity to share your hopes, your dreams, and how we can make the Canal Winchester Promise come alive.

Here's to a great school year filled with lots of learning, laughter, and of course, lots of heroes!
