Special Services
Our goal is to ensure that every student with a disability receives the appropriate support and resources needed to thrive in their educational journey.
The Canal Winchester Schools Special Services Department makes sure that the unique needs of learners with disabilities are met at school. CW Schools provides services to students ranging from ages 3 to 21 who have disabilities covered under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). For children between the ages of 3 and 5, we also provide services for developmental delays.
These disabilities encompass a wide range, such as autism, cognitive disabilities, multiple disabilities, specific learning disabilities, other health impairments, orthopedic impairments, emotional disturbances, hearing impairments, visual impairments, traumatic brain injuries, speech/language impairments, and deaf-blindness.
