Young Writers’ Studio is for 9th-12th grade students who like to write, want to stretch their skills, and hang out with other kids who like writing as much as they do. Join us online using Zoom or meet with us in-person at Thurber Center (91 Jefferson Ave) every other Tuesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. ET.
Registration: $17 per session, $80 for the entire season

The licensed grief professionals of OhioHealth Loss and Healing Services invite children and adolescents ages 6-18 along with their adult caregivers, who are grieving the death of someone close to them, to experience our Stepping Stones Grief Camp.
DATE: Saturday, October 3, 2026
TIME: 9:00am-4:30pm
LOCATION: Camp Ken Jockety

COST: $20 household registration fee
NOTE: Our day will include a light breakfast and a lunch for campers and caregivers.

What to Expect
Camp is a fun-filled day of activities and experiences for both the youth and their caregivers. Participants will learn various ways to navigate the challenges of grief while building confidence, supporting their fellow campers and most of all having fun!
Activities will vary by age and may include creeking, fishing, field games, a challenge course, art activities, nature hikes and more.
Meanwhile caregivers will have the option to participate in various experiences with their camper as well as separate activities with other adults to honor their own grief journey.
Activities include supportive group discussions, question and answer sessions with our youth grief counselors, art projects and a nature walk on the beautiful grounds of Camp Ken Jockety.
