Thurber House Young Writers’ Studio
Young Writers’ Studio is for 9th-12th grade students who like to write, want to stretch their skills, and hang out with other kids who like writing as much as they do. Join us using Zoom or meet with us in-person at Thurber Center (91 Jefferson Avenue) every other Tuesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. ET.

Flip the Page: Central Ohio’s Teen Literary Magazine 2026
Submissions Open: November 1st, 2025
Submission Deadline: January 26th, 2026
Writing submission Requirements:
1. Must be a resident of Central Ohio
2. ages 13-19
3. Maximum of 800 words per piece
4. Maximum 2 submissions per author
5. Writing must be Word documents or shareable Google Docs
6. FREE to submit!

Art submission Requirements:
1. Must be a resident of Central Ohio
2. ages 13-19
3. Maximum 2 art submissions per artist
4. Artwork must be a .jpg or .png file
5. Artwork must be 300 dpi or higher

Writing and artwork are reviewed separately. All submitters may enter up to 2 pieces of writing and up to 2 pieces of artwork each. Flip The Page is written, staffed, and produced by Central Ohio teens.

Our research team at The Ohio State University College of Optometry is seeking parents who are willing to answer a 2-minute survey about their children’s screen time and eye comfort.
There is an optional link after completion of the survey that will allow you to enter a drawing for a $50 Amazon gift card.
