Canal Winchester is a proud partner of Nationwide Children’s Sports Medicine.

Athletic trainers are certified and licensed healthcare providers who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, injury diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.

Student-Athletes

Before tryouts student must have:

  • Completed physical and have the OHSAA Physical Form on file with the Athletic Office.
  • All PowerSchool forms completed by a parent or guardian for the school year.
  • Athletic forms on Final Forms completed and signed by a parent or guardian and signed by the student-athlete.

Middle School Sports Medicine

Athletic trainers visit the middle school once per week during the school year to evaluate injured athletes. For your child to be seen at the middle school, please contact their coach or School Nurse Tina Rawn.

 

Athletic Training Student Aide Program

The Canal WinchesterW Athletic Training Student Aide Program is an internship opportunity for juniors and seniors. Student Aides earn 0.5 flex credit over the course of an 8-week internship working with the athletic trainers at CWHS. The internship is available each athletic season.
