June 2026 Facilities Project Update

School may be out for the summer, but the Canal Winchester High School campus has been busy with construction throughout June.
Visible progress is underway on the new Performing Arts Center and Athletic Facilities.
Performing Arts Center
Asphalt removal and utility surveying are complete, and domestic and fire water line installation is nearing completion. Crews will next relocate fiber optic and gas lines, install storm systems, and begin foundation work.
Bleacher Additions
The bleacher expansion is complete, with additional seating now installed on both the home and visitor sides of Mike Locke Stadium. Crews are putting the finishing touches on the project with fencing repairs and updates.
Baseball and Softball Fields
The existing scoreboard has been removed, and crews have completed field demolition and tree removal and protection efforts. Work is now focused on underground utilities and the detention pond, a permanent basin that temporarily collects stormwater runoff and helps prevent flooding and soil erosion.
Field House
The future fieldhouse is off to a strong start. Tree removal and protection are complete, and demolition of the asphalt and sidewalk is underway. Next are grading activities and underground utility work.
