CWHS Junior Earns Internship Opportunity

CWHS Junior Earns Internship Opportunity
Megan Anthony

Canal Winchester High School’s commitment to helping students prepare for the 3 Es of employment, enrollment, or enlistment helped one CWHS Junior earn an opportunity at a local summer internship.
Junior Sophia Regoli, a student in the Cisco Academy program at CWHS, will be a Customer Service Intern at Spectrum, participating in a 13-week, full-time internship experience with the possibility of continued part-time employment during her senior year.
Sophia became aware of the opportunity through her Cisco Academy Instructor, Mrs. Sandy Thomaschek, who received information about the program from the school’s Career Readiness Coordinator, Mrs. Jasmine Stephenson. In this role, Mrs. Stephenson works to help students connect to work experience opportunities and develop skills for employment.
In her internship role, Sophia will earn $18.50 per hour. This is her second professional experience, having worked as a highly regarded Summer IT Intern with the Canal Winchester Schools IT Department in 2023.
Sophia's upcoming role at Spectrum as an intern will immerse her in various aspects of customer service. She will be tasked with troubleshooting issues related to internet and phone services, presenting and discussing products and services, and managing customer interactions with professionalism.
This internship is a fantastic opportunity for Sophia to develop her professional abilities in a real-world environment. Sophia’s journey from a summer intern at CW Schools to a promising role at Spectrum showcases the practical benefits of internships in preparing students for future careers.
