Nine Canal Winchester Middle School students have been recognized for their artwork in the 2026 Juried Exhibition of Student Art, a statewide competition that included more than 8,000 students from across Ohio.
Six students were named Regional Winners in Region 4: Mariame Diallo, Max Kakoules, Grace Luu, Jadiel Amaya, Riley Collins, and Haylie Morris. Their work was selected through a regional judging process that included schools from across central Ohio.
Three students received the exhibition’s top honor as Streeter Hadley Matthews Grand Award Winners: Mariame Diallo (Grade 6), Grace Luu (Grade 6), and Riley Collins (Grade 7). Their artwork will be displayed in exhibits across Ohio for the next three years and during the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis this fall.
Nevaeh Asante, Anjali Karki, and Natalie Velez also had artwork selected for the exhibition.
All nine students are part of the art program led by Canal Winchester Middle School teacher Cheryl Trogus.
