At the July 19th Board of Education Superintendent Mr. Sotlar announced that the Canal Winchester School District AT THIS TIME would not require masks for the school year, including busing.  Staff and students are more than welcome to wear masks if they choose.  This statement is with the knowledge that if any local, state or federal mandate or requirement is handed down the school district will follow those mandates.  Over the past 18 months we have all learned it is difficult to predict the future.  The district is continuing to keep cleaning and disinfecting practices in place.  Returning to a normal school year with all students in attendance will be a challenge, but continuing to keep safe distance where and when possible will continue.  These practices will vary by building.  The district does anticipate more announcements from the state regarding the school year in the near future.

Dear WTES Families,
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year!  Another summer has come and gone again so quickly.  I hope all of you had a relaxing and enjoyable summer.  For those families that are new to the Canal Winchester School District and Winchester Trail Elementary, I would like to welcome you to our fantastic school district and look forward to meeting you in the near future!

Mrs. Fries and I are excited to begin our third year together as the administrators of Winchester Trail Elementary. We, along with the amazing staff at Winchester Trail, look forward to continuing to build those positive relationships that are vital to student success, growth, and achievement.  We have all grown in many various ways since the pandemic began.  We are going to take those challenges and turn them into positives that will make us all stronger and better people.

At Winchester Trail, we pride ourselves on connecting with, and getting to know the students on a personal level. This enables each staff member to personalize the students' learning and meet the educational needs of each and every student. We believe that a strong relationship, built on trust between student and teacher, can lead to significant student learning as well as academic gains!
We continue to be committed to the Mission Statement of "Empowering All Students for Success".  We will work to provide the best education possible for your child even in this challenging time.  We will work and collaborate to meet the needs of all students.  We will strive for success as we let the Portrait of a Graduate and the Leader in Me platform guide our way.  The Portrait of a Graduate consists of: Respectful Citizens, Responsible Learners, Self Aware Individuals, Problem Solvers, Communicators, and Collaborators.
I look forward to meeting you and partnering with you as we support your child’s academic and overall growth at Winchester Trail Elementary.
